To reduce poverty and advocate for safe housing by organizing, educating, and empowering residents. We are committed to supporting communities and to preserving our quality of life, our health, and our personal safety by assisting tenants when their rights have been violated and by holding unresponsive property owners accountable.

Our programs focus on addressing housing inequities, combating landlord harassment, and ensuring tenants are informed of their rights. We offer workshops on tenant rights and responsibilities, provide legal clinics for personalized guidance, and support tenants in organizing tenant associations to foster collective action.
P.A.’L.A.N.T.E. offers comprehensive legal and mediation assistance to tenants and tenant associations to help them assert their rights and secure safe, affordable housing.
P.A.’L.A.N.T.E.’s Stand & Deliver program is a youth empowerment initiative that engages young people in Manhattan and the Bronx in the fight against homelessness, while helping them develop valuable skills and foster positive relati onships within their communities.
At P.A.’L.A.N.T.E., we are deeply committed to addressing food insecurity, a critical issue that affects families in our community.
Our Homeownership Program is designed to empower individuals and families by guiding them on their journey toward owning a home.
Our community-based intervention program takes a bottom-up approach to combat illegal evictions and prevent the loss of New York City’s precious rent-stabilized and rent-controlled housing stock.
P.A.'L.A.N.T.E. Harlem is based on New York’s sense of diversity, the idea that we as New York City residents, can rely upon each other and work as one to improve the lives of all in our community. P.A.'L.A.N.T.E., which stands for People Against Landlord Abuse and Tenant Exploitation, has been on the front line of keeping people in their homes, making sure necessary repairs are made, and fighting corruption in the City’s housing programs.
