STAND & DELIVER
P.A.'L.A.N.T.E.'s Stand & Deliver program is a youth empowerment program that gives youths in Manhattan and the Bronx a role in combating homelessness while gaining marketable skills and forging positive relationships with community members. This program is a peer-led, hands-on and runs all year round. We recognizes the urgent need to help develop the academic and social skills of at-risk youth. Today we train, educate and inspire youth to fulfill their potential.
Empowering young people means recognizing and nurturing their potential, providing them with the resources, opportunities, and support they need to thrive. At the heart of youth empowerment lies the belief that every young person has unique talents, perspectives, and contributions to offer. P.A.'L.A.N.T.E. delivers its annual internship and mentoring program by developing a customized curriculum and conducts one-on-one assessments to help each participant map their educational goals and ambitions and match them with mentors in the not-for-profit and private sectors.
"Working at PA'LANTE has truly been a fulfilling experience. On my second day here, I was given the responsibility of leading a team to canvass a building and conduct apartment inspections, and then submitting maintenance complaints at both the city and state level."
Marcelo - P.A.'L.A.N.T.E. Intern
"I was able to have the privilege of directly working with clients and hearing their stories, of being exploited since 10, 20 or even more years ago and having PA’LANTE advocate and fight for them; not only on their behalf but on behalf of the whole community, on behalf of justice and what is right."
Abigail - P.A.'L.A.N.T.E. Intern
"I had the opportunity to participate in various outreach events and workshops. These experiences allowed me to see firsthand how PA'LANTE's commitment to empowerment and education was positively transforming lives and fostering a sense of unity within the community."
